Schwartz has been a member of both the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the New York State Ophthalmologic Society. Schwartz became an Attending Physician of Ophthalmology at the Good Samaritan Hospital and opened a private practice in Pomona, New York, where he has been practicing for more than 20 years. He then served for two years as the Chief of the Department of Ophthalmology for the United States Military Academy at the U.S. In addition he is a clinical instructor at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Elmhurst General Hospital where he is involved in teaching medical students and residents in medical and surgical ophthalmology. Schwartz is an ophthalmologist in Sarasota, Florida and is affiliated with Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Schwartz completed an internship at Cornell Cooperating Hospitals Northshore Hospital and an ophthalmology residency at Mount Sinai Hospital Beth Israel. Schwartz is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is fully board certified. Schwartz graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine with a medical degree in 1969. After earning a Bachelor of Science from Yeshiva University, Dr. Schwartz is a licensed ophthalmologist in New York with over 51 years of experience in the medical field.
